1/ How should I choose my perfume?
Selecting a fragrance is above all a ‘love at first smell’ experience. The memories and emotions that it arouses will help you to choose your fragrance. Choosing your perfume is also about choosing the impression you'll leave on others. Are you looking for the Eau de Toilette or Eau de Parfum that best represents your personality and current mood? Yves Rocher offers a wide range of scents from soft and subtle fragrances to the most intoxicating aromas. Fresh wild flowers, powerful woody scents or mysterious oriental notes, we give pride of place to plants, flowers and fruits, meaning that our Eau de Toilettes and Eau de Parfums are suitable for all ages and all tastes.
2/ How should I apply my perfume to make it last all day?
Alcohol is not photosensitizing, but it does dry out the skin. It is therefore essential that you moisturize your skin beforehand. To diffuse the perfume, spray it on the pulse points: behind your ears, the nape of your neck and the inside of your wrists. Avoid your hair, however, so it doesn’t dry it out. In order to make your fragrance last even longer throughout the day, here are 2 tips: - Spray your clothes - Spray the fragrance in front of you and walk through the mist.
3/ Once opened, how long can I keep my perfume?
The time you can use your perfume after opening is shown on the bottle. In order to not alter its olfactory properties, make sure it is stored away from light and heat.
4/ What is the difference between an Eau de Parfum and an Eau de Toilette?
The main difference is the quantity of essence used in the perfume’s composition. For example, an Eau de Cologne is made up of 3 to 5% of pure fragrance. An Eau de Toilette is concentrated with on average from 6 to 9% fragrance. An Eau de Parfum, which is the most suitable fragrance for everyday use, contains 15% fragrance. Perfume extract is an exception: it contains between 20 and 30% fragrance which makes it a very intense and long-lasting perfume.
5/ Why have synthetic ingredients been incorporated in some of your perfume formulas?
Our fragrances have a high rate of naturalness. Nevertheless, we have chosen not to offer 100% natural perfumes in order to provide responsible, safe, effective and pleasant fragrances that meet all of our customers’ desires. The natural raw ingredients are selected and dosed to minimize allergy risks. They are combined with synthetic ingredients that offer more olfactory facets and help the perfume last longer, while excluding any controversial ingredients to guarantee the safest possible products.
6/ Where are Yves Rocher fragrances made?
Our brand’s development first and foremost grew out of a promise that Mr. Yves Rocher made to bring prosperity to his native village of La Gacilly in Brittany, France, and more widely to the region. And he fulfilled this promise. As botanists, growers, manufacturers and retailers for more than 60 years, we are proud to have remained faithful to our founder’s wishes. The Made in France label is something we care about deeply, and this is why we have always kept our manufacturing plants and most of our production in France. For example, our fields and 3 production sites in Brittany are all located within a 30 km radius. Today, this is a virtuous and positive ecosystem that employs around 10,000 people 93% of our products, including our perfumes, are now developed in our manufacturing plants in Brittany. For the remaining 7%, we have chosen to subcontract in France and Europe when we do not master the production of the required technology. This means that only 1.2% of our products are developed outside of Europe. Our internal expertise completely guides these decisions and the formulas strictly adhere to our specifications.
